| a f t e r g l o w Grand ReOpening & '08 AC Spring Line Introduction March 8th 6:00pm - 10:00pm After one full & busy month of moving and working on the new spring AC Clothing and Bags line, afterglow is finally ready for its first open house! This event will be the first of recurring Second Saturday open studios for our building. In conjunction with Jennifer Lynne of Porcelynne Lingerie, whose new design studio & showroom is located upstairs, as well as other participating art & design studios in the building, afterglow will be hosting a grand opening celebration and introducing the first run of spring designs for 2008 by ***AC Clothing and Bags There will be wine, music, snacks, and a huge sale 20% - 70% off!! How to get to the new afterglow: 261 10th St #202 Oakland, CA 94607 @ Alice St, over the Silverview Supermarket *Scroll thru the names on the keypad to 'afterglow' then press call to be buzzed in. By freeway: afterglow is located near the 880 freeway, just after the 980 merge going south. to find your way using Google maps, click here By BART: afterglow is located just three blocks from the Lake Merritt BART station and five blocks from the 12th St Downtown BART station. From Lake Merritt BART, get out at 9th St and walk up 9th or 10th toward Chinatown, crossing Madison, then Jackson, then Alice; afterglow will be located on your left on 10th, a half block past Alice, over the big red awning of the Silverview Chinese Supermarket. From 12th St BART, head east toward the lake and Chinatown down 11th St, crossing Franklin, then Webster; turn right on Harrison, then left on 10th. afterglow will be located half a block down on your right over the big red awning of the Silverview Chinese Supermarket. | Second Saturday, April 12th (tonite!) opening at a f t e r g l o w design studio 6-10 pm; wine, snacks, and new pieces by ***AC Clothing and Bags Hello, beloved friends of afterglow! So here's the funny thing: I was planning on going away to Las Vegas this weekend for a big family affair. However, with one thing and another, I wasn't paying attention to the news and was unaware until last night that the airline that we were going to fly on went bankrupt! And buying two airline tickets the night before departure is not financially feasible for our household budget at present.... So I'll be here to host the second opening of afterglow in the series of recurring Second Saturday open studios for our building, which is also home to Porcelynne Lingerie by Jennifer Lynne and other designers, artists, photographers, etc who will be taking part as soon as they're ready. also opening at the Oakland Showrooms tonight: Porcelynne Lingerie www.porcelynne.com Come one, come all for a glass of wine and an evening of style; if you haven't seen the elegant Porcelynne design studio (that designer Jennifer Lynne so beautifully designed and arranged herself!) you are so missing out!
